Air Mauritius is pleased to announce that for the summer season 2011( 27^th of March to the end of October 2011) the Air France operated flight  MK040 flight from Mauritius to Paris (CDG) will be a night flight departure instead of day flight and will be operated on the following days::

 Mon-Wed-Sat- Sun

With the following times:

Mauritius        Paris (CDG)       MK040            2045 – 0555+ 1

 The Paris Mauritius flight of MK051 will also be a night flight departure and operated on the following days:

With the following times:

Tue- Fri-Sat -Sun

Paris               Mauritius (CDG)        MK051            1910 – 0555+ 1

We hope that this change of schedule providing an additional evening departure flight from Mauritius will facilitate our clients.

Daily Charles de Gaulle Paris to Mauritius

MK045 departing Paris 17.20 and arriving in Mauritius 07.00

Daily Mauritius to Charles de Gaulle Paris

MK034 departing Mauritius 22.35 and arriving in Paris 08.35

Air Mauritius today resumed flights between Mauritius and Sydney. Flight MK 942 was given a very warm welcome on landing at Sydney airport by the Sydney Airport Corporation, officials of Air Mauritius and the media.

Manoj R K Ujoodha, G.O.S.K., CEO of Air Mauritius says “We are delighted to be today flying to Sydney, Australia’s largest city.

From today, our Australian operations will include a flight to Melbourne/Sydney and a direct flight to Perth.

This represents a significant boost in capacity on our Australian schedule in response to forecasted increase in demand.

We would like to thank our customers in Australia and we are particularly thankful to the Mauritian community in New South Wales, for their loyalty to the national airline.

We are now on a growth path and will inject 15% additional capacity across our global network this year.

We will continue to play our role in promoting tourism between Australia and Mauritius, and developing Mauritius as a hub to Africa and Europe.”

Steven Palombo, Manager Australia says “It is exciting times for Air Mauritius in Australia. Travel to Mauritius has steadily increased over the last year. Air Mauritius is the only airline in Australia to offer direct services to Mauritius, now serving Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, providing passengers with the fastest, most convenient flight to Mauritius.

This new service will allow passengers to reconfirm the time of departure of their flight without having to call a telephone operator by sending only one SMS.

All that is required is the following

For departures on the same day  passengers can type in the SMS their flight nbr e.g.  MK034 and send it to 2559090

For departures between from 24 hours- 72 hours , it is necessary to type in the date as well  e..g MK034 15Jul ( a space between the flight and the date)

A reply  with the departure time will be sent through an SMS.
